No more water shortage



Girls like 17-year-old Mosam are benefitting the most from water management and conservation initiatives in their villages because they are at the forefront of a major water crisis. Alwar, Rajasthan, has no perennially flowing river basin, and therefore groundwater recharge is of utmost importance to maintain the water balance in the area.


Safety First


In Mosam's village, World Vision India built two ponds at the base of the hills. The water is harvested during the rainy season, gets stored in ponds and recharges the groundwater in the village. In 2020, in partnership with a corporate, we renovated, deepened and did bunding work of five ponds in Ramsinghpura, Devti, Sitawat, and Khariyawas villages in the Alwar. The groundwater level has increased because of the water management and conservation initiative.

Support for Farmers
